Example Scenarios
Morning Fasting Check
Glucose: 95 mg/dL
Time: 7:30 AM
Fasting: Yes (toggle ON)
When: Fasting
Medications: Metformin
Notes: Took metformin with water
This is a normal fasting glucose. Reference range is 70-100 mg/dL.
Post-Meal Check (2 hours after lunch)
Glucose: 145 mg/dL
Time: 2:00 PM
Fasting: No (toggle OFF)
When: After Meal
Medications: Insulin, Metformin
Notes: Had pasta for lunch
Post-meal glucose under 180 mg/dL (2 hours after eating) is the ADA target for most people with diabetes.
High Reading - Feeling Unwell
Glucose: 220 mg/dL
Time: 4:30 PM
Fasting: No (toggle OFF)
When: After Meal
Medications: None selected
Notes: Forgot to take insulin at lunch. Feeling thirsty and tired.
This reading is high. The note helps you remember why and discuss with your doctor.
Bedtime Check
Glucose: 130 mg/dL
Time: 10:00 PM
Fasting: No (toggle OFF)
When: Bedtime
Medications: Ozempic
Notes: Had a light dinner, took weekly Ozempic shot today
Bedtime checks help ensure you don't go to sleep with dangerously low glucose.
Low Blood Sugar Episode
Glucose: 58 mg/dL
Time: 11:30 AM
Fasting: No (toggle OFF)
When: Before Meal
Medications: Insulin, Glipizide
Notes: Felt shaky, sweaty. Ate glucose tablets. Will recheck in 15 min.
Glucose under 70 mg/dL is hypoglycemia. Documenting these episodes helps your doctor adjust medications.
